Sidewalk inspected. Spalling condition. Resident's responsibility to permanently fix. Issue closed. If you need to report another issue please submit to See Click Fix or call Department of Public Works at (203) 946 - 7700. Thanks.
I beg to differ. This second rate concrete that they used in this area started to deteriorate shortly after they layed it down. It was reported to public works back then and was ignored until last year when they responded to a SeeClickFix complaint. They inspected it, agreed it was inferior product they layed down to begin with and said it would be fixed in the summer of 2016.
After another SCF complaint this summer (after it became apparent the city was not going to fix the sidewalk), you reinspect it and all of a sudden it is now the resident's responsibility to fix it. Three properties in a row have this inferior product crumbling! It is the city's responsibility to use adequate product.
We at Public Works respond to See Click Fix sidewalk issues by doing inspections, patching hazardous areas impacted by city trees or damage, and grinding when sidewalk is lifted by city tree. Engineering replaces sidewalks. Several areas on Greenwich Avenue have been assigned to be reviewed by the Resource Allocation Committee which decides upon larger projects citywide based on necessity and funding.
We'll review again. Thanks
Thanks Angela. It was forwarded to us today as still pending repair.
