Home owner who planted shrubs is Warren Seacord. Told neighbors he refuses to trim overgrown shrubs he planted . Says he likes his privacy! City needs to do something quickly before someone gets killed walking in the street.

NOTHING has been trimmed that is blocking the sidewalk on Sea St.and the shrub that was trimmed which caused the blind spot entering Howard Ave.was not trimmed enough to eliminate the problem. Do you know that New Haven can legally trim anything that is pertruding on city property even if the shrubs in question belong to someone else? I did? So this is what you do;
_ you give him time frame to comply
_ you check to see if he complied within the time frame
_ if he didn't, the city takes responibility to get the job done
It's not brain surgery!
What am I paying taxes for? Maybe a call to the mayor's office with photos and a paper trail of emails would move things along.

How about calling the home owner and telling him he has to trim the overgrowth or the city will? When was he notified? How long was he told he has to comply? What was he told the consequences would be if he didn't comply? Why is this so complicated?

I have also contacted LCI regarding the overgrown plantings covering the Sea Street side walk at least four times. They are unwilling to contact the home owner to rectify the problem, (Mr. Warren Seacord). I guess they are waiting for a child being pushed in a stroller to be hit by a car because mommy or daddy couldn't walk on the side walk . This area of Sea Street is very busy with backed up traffic because of the construction and traffic comming of I-95. I'm astounded that this is being ignorded! LCI IS A JOKE!
