Seriously?! Sending a 10-day notice “closes” the violation and presumably the file on this? What about follow up to make sure the problem is actually fixed?

The problem reported - a sizable slab of stucco pulling away from the building and in danger of falling - still exists. Also troubling is that the city has made NO effort to block the sidewalk beneath the problem. Please block the sidewalk before someone gets hurt.

After the joke of an inspection they had, I no longer have any hope in Code enforcement. The inspector was rushed along, didnt see every apartment, wasnt shown half the problems with the building and tenants were screamed at by maintenance/management if they tried to show or explain problems in their apartment to the inspector only to have her be whisked away immediately out of the apartment. Someone will end up getting hurt before this gets fixed. Otherwise, they dont care. And if you think the outer wall falling is bad, you should see the crumbled foundation the entire building is sitting on!

now we make false accusations against city workers that they didnt inspect every apartment ???? please have your facts straight before making false claims

To put everyone's mind at ease we are slated to have this work done next week. This has been on our radar since before anything was even posted on seeclickfix and we have been taking action to resolve the issue since it was discovered. Please understand that an issue of this nature doesn't get fixed overnight by "Joe the everyday handyman." It requires a consulting a skilled/reputable mason and the process of finding one and scheduling the job takes time. We have barricaded off part of the side walk with caution tape in the meantime.

It is sad to see this app being used as a social forum for pathetic retaliatory actions from tenants who have evictions pending because they feel they don't have to pay market rent and refuse to move out. The point of this app is not to slander landlords/city agencies. These actions by certain users over the last month are reprehensible.

And yet the most immature of all statements made here has been by managements own maintenance person, William Koreman. Way to go ATeam Management! You do realize these posts and reports arent all being made by that single mom you bullied out after harassing her and her children and raising her rent twice as much as anyone else on purpose after she wouldnt put up with your temper tantrums, right? Many tenants have posted here in the last few weeks. As well as the surrounding neighbors such as myself. Your building is an eyesore to the community. The horror stories from any and every tenant I've spoken to is frightening given the size of the building and the amount of people affected by your poor management. We all see through your "damage control" comment. If you had been doing your job correctly, there wouldnt have been any violations to report or open public comments up for discussion....as is the purpose of this site. I say the city should tear the whole rats nest down and throw you slumlords out of town!

And I dont doubt at all that the inspection was a joke and rushed along by management. Please know we all plan on being present for the public hearing in May.

Larkstreetgirl and jesplano: if what you are saying is true, I am very concerned. They were rushed and didnt see every apartment? my apartment needs an inspection. would the inspector leave a notice that they inspected the apartment?

To the management: I didnt move here to get into arguments with anyone, especially management. I just wanted a quiet, affordable place in albany. Safety is also important to me. Proper documentation that the place I'm living in is safe should not be that hard to provide and so far I have not gotten a proper response. I NEED an ROP for my unit. I do not understand what is going on.

I received requested ROP from Management and I am satisfied. My concern was entirely out of safety, nothing personal. If I've tarnished your reputation, I apologize.
