Description
This driver just ran two crosswalks with pedestrian standing in them. I have never seen a 777 7777 driver stop at a crosswalk. They need retraining immediately.
I will continue to ride uber and other services until metro taxi read trans their drivers to stop at crosswalks in New Haven. Please vote with me.

We appreciate your feedback, as Metro Taxi has the most comprehensive driver training program in the state. You may not know that we have in-vehicle cameras that protect the passenger and the driver, and pedestrians as well.
The Metro Taxi you photographed is one of our MV-1s, which is wheelchair-accessible and powered by clean-burning Compressed Natural Gas. If you look closer at the photo, you'll notice that our driver's brake lights are on which indicate that the driver is stopped. We also found no video footage from our onboard cameras that would lead us to believe there was any use of excessive speed.
You mention that you plan on using Uber. There are 29 states in the U.S., including Connecticut, that have issued consumer alerts due to the known safety risks inherent with so-called “ridesharing” companies, including Uber. Should you have an accident in an Uber vehicle or be struck by one in a cross-walk, you will not be protected by state safety and insurance regulations to which your local taxi services must and do adhere. Uber still has not taken a responsibility for the death of a six-year-old child who was struck and killed in a crosswalk by one of Uber’s drivers this year (read more here: http://pando.com/2014/01/02/uber-driver-hits-kills-6-year-old-girl-is-not-our-problem-still-an-appropriate-response/) Be safe and know who's driving you http://www.whosdrivingyou.org/

Please let us know about your training for stopping at crosswalks. I and other citizens will start video recording your vehicles blowing crosswalks if you do not get your drivers to cease this behavior immediately.
