Description

This is going to get someone injured or killed. Construction on east side of Parkside has left any northbound east side pedestrian route inaccessible and extremely dangerous. "Please use other sidewalk" sign is located north of Lakeshore on the east side after all northbound crossings, where you have three options:

1) Turn around and walk back through 1 uncontrolled, and 3 controlled pedestrian crossings to the south side of Lakeshore, use the path to go to the west side of Parkside, and cross to a useable sidewalk, follow north to next light and cross back to east side

2) Walk westbound on Lakeshore in the right hand vehicle lane, around the construction blocking the westbound crosswalk on the north side of Lakeshore, follow North

3) Step into vehicle traffic at least 3 times northbound on Parkside until you are given the privilege of a useable sidewalk again.

Southbound "pedestrian use other sidewalk sign" is also not at anything remotely resembling a pedestrian crossing, and encourages southbound pedestrians to jaywalk just north of the Queensway overpass.

Get it together Toronto. Have some sense and give pedestrians good information so they don't have to make the choice about which lane of vehicle traffic they would like to walk in, and be killed by.
