  • 8046 Martin Goodman Trail Toronto, ON M6S 5A3, Canada - Toronto
Button on south side of Lakeshore, north bound to Parkside, has no impact on frequency of pedestrian signal at crossing. Is this to give us the illusion of control without disturbing the flow of traffic? Southbound pedestrian signal button has immediate effect at the same crossing.
  • 1264 Humber Boulevard North Toronto, ON M6N, Canada - Toronto
Located near centre median when turning from SB Black Creek to EB Weston in the left hand lane. Very deep, heavy impact when hit. You should put up the phone number for the city department that will pay for suspension repairs, nearby.
  • 420 Keele Street Toronto, ON, Canada - Toronto
This issue happens every year and the city solutions of simply filling the damage does not appear to be adequate.
  • Lake Shore Boulevard West Toronto, Ontario - Toronto

There is a sign when exiting from Lakeshore Rd. W. onto the Gardiner Expressway, that denotes the right hand lane will end in 300m as drivers enter the on ramp to the expressway. This sign was previously covered with a garbage bag by the construction crews.

Drivers move left in anticipation of the merge, and then once the make the turn around the corner onto the on ramp, are forced back to the right by construction signs and pylons. This causes delays and confusion on the on ramp.

The permanent sign of "Lane Merges in 300m" needs to be covered during construction and a temporary sign put near the entrance to the Gardiner exit from Lakeshore Rd. W. so that drivers can anticipate the new/different merge and make choices safely, and with time and notice.

  • Gardiner Expressway Toronto, Ontario - Toronto

When traveling eastbound on the Gardiner there are no signs to indicate the Lakeshore Ave / Gardiner split until a few hundred meters before the exit. Drivers have no opportunity to anticipate which lane they must be in. Drivers cross between lanes to rush out of, and into the exit before the split. Several accidents have occurred in this area in the last few months due to drivers attempting such maneuvers.

There needs to be a sign on the express lanes of the Gardiner prior to Royal York (or on the bridge where is seems like it may have once been attached) that denote which lanes will continue on the Gardiner and where the Lakeshore exit lanes are located.

  • 1 Parkside Drive Toronto, ON M6R, Canada - Toronto

This is going to get someone injured or killed. Construction on east side of Parkside has left any northbound east side pedestrian route inaccessible and extremely dangerous. "Please use other sidewalk" sign is located north of Lakeshore on the east side after all northbound crossings, where you have three options:

    1) Turn around and walk back through 1 uncontrolled, and 3 controlled pedestrian crossings to the south side of Lakeshore, use the path to go to the west side of Parkside, and cross to a useable sidewalk, follow north to next light and cross back to east side

    2) Walk westbound on Lakeshore in the right hand vehicle lane, around the construction blocking the westbound crosswalk on the north side of Lakeshore, follow North

    3) Step into vehicle traffic at least 3 times northbound on Parkside until you are given the privilege of a useable sidewalk again.

Southbound "pedestrian use other sidewalk sign" is also not at anything remotely resembling a pedestrian crossing, and encourages southbound pedestrians to jaywalk just north of the Queensway overpass.

Get it together Toronto. Have some sense and give pedestrians good information so they don't have to make the choice about which lane of vehicle traffic they would like to walk in, and be killed by.

  • 550 Bayview Avenue Toronto, ON M4W 3X8, Canada - Toronto

In left WB lane approaching Queen.
  • 240 Garden Avenue Toronto, ON M6R, Canada - Toronto
On Garden at the corner of Sunnyside.
  • 1 Parkside Drive Toronto, ON M6R, Canada - Toronto

Pedestrians crossing from the north side of Lakeshore are required to yield to oncoming traffic turning right onto Parkside Dr. Yield onus should be on vehicles. All other segments of the crossing are protected by pedestrian signals.

Cars WB on Lakeshore come with speed around the corner and don't often enter the turning lane until just before the turn onto Parkside Dr.

Turning lane on Lakeshore is long enough to reverse the yield configuration without disrupting WB flow and give pedestrians the right of way enabling them to safely cross.
