Description
Although there are signs along the road, the new speed humps along Canner need painting so they can be seen. Currently they are completely camouflaged.

Hi folks. The contractor will paint the shortly. It's a high priority of things to be taken care of for the reasons you pointed out.

Since the speed humps were installed, on Canner St., the traffic on Willow St. has become much heavier, and the speeding and especially the red light running is much worse. Drivers are completely ignoring the "no turn on red" signs @ Willow and Orange St. and they are even turning against the pedestrian crossing light.
When will Willow St. get speed humps? We have three schools in the neighborhood, and the street with the worst traffic, Willow St., is not getting any attention or features to alleviate the negative effects of too many cars.

Thanks for your comments "Car Sewer". You're right that speeding and dangerous driving is a problem on many other streets in the neighborhood. Many drivers run red lights on both Willow and Cold Spring at their intersections with Orange. Getting traffic calming measures on these streets will take effort on neighbors parts to help lobby the city. Canner Street residents were organized, petitioned, showed up to a couple of on-site meetings and came to a consensus on the best way to address the problem. If you're interested in doing this for Willow, please contact me at justin.elicker@gmail.com. Cold Spring residents are already organizing.
Incidentally, due to the storm, contractors were unable to paint the speed humps on Canner. It will be done shortly. Thanks for your patience.
