This is not the only block in the vicinity where this occurs; there are other ignorant, inconsiderate people, who believe they are special. It is illegal, and the only recourse is to call the police. Unfortunately it is difficult to get the police to respond. I have tried many times, only twice with success. SOSNA holds a meeting once a month where the 17th police district attends. You may want to attend and bring up the issue. Also, related to this issue, both a PPA and Police officer told me they have the option to waive ticketing for religious purposes, persons attending church services. I could go on...in short, both had subsided for awhile, possibly because of the neighborhood complaints, but both recently seem to be in high numbers again. I plan on attending this month, with a few of my neighbors. Check the SOSNA website.
