Oak Park/Crabtree

We use the crossing light for pedestrians to go to and from the shopping center. Yesterday, we came close to being taken out by turning cars. We were walking across the street with the correct pedestrian light and cars were turning left from the intersection. They were cutting it very close, with about 3 cars turning, the last one, particularly, was scary close. We stopped and let them go, lest we get pummeled. Also, the light needs more time for pedestrians. I have to use, at times, assisted devices, and it's too quick to cross.

no sidewalk or way to avoid traffic and abide by NC Law.

NCGS 20- 174 (d)  Where sidewalks are not provided, any pedestrian walking along and upon a highway shall, when practicable, walk only on the extreme left of the roadway or its shoulder facing traffic which may approach from the opposite direction. Such pedestrian shall yield the right-of-way to approaching traffic.

the metal guard rail is over the curb, leaving no ‘shoulder’ and does not allow for pedestrians to walk facing traffic and get off road to safely walk along Laurel Hills Rd heading west. seen several near misses including myself when traffic is heading east.

there needs to be a sidewalk

I live just off of Glen Eden, East of the intersection of Glen Eden and Blue Ridge. I am unable to get out of my neighborhood during morning rush hour because hundreds of cars back up on Glen Eden waiting to turn left onto Blue Ridge. Please add a leading green left turn light to this intersection--as it is now, there is not a leading green so cars waiting to make that turn sit through multiple light cycles without being able to turn, causing backups all the way back to Ridge Road.

There are three lanes on Duraleigh Rd just SW of the intersection at Glenwood Ave. but you can't tell because the lane lines have completely worn off of the roadway surface.

There is a semi truck parked in a no parking zone. There are "no truck parking" signs every 30-50ft.

I called this in to police non-emergency twice last night due to the ongoing noise from either the truck idling or running its refrigeration.

Upon calling the second time, dispatch state that the officer "attempted to call the trucking company". I requested another officer come out, as to try to wake the driver, or find another resolution.

This morning, the truck is still there, after rumbling all night(and still rumbling as we speak). Moreover, I drove up to the truck this morning, and not only was it still there, right in front of the no parking sign, but there was not so much as a citation on the windshield. What is going to stop this driver from violating again and again, causing all-night noise? No ticket? Even when in clear violation and officers went out there?

The truck is a red semi, one that I recognized from last year, as this truck did this regularly before the signs went up. Thank you to the City of Raleigh for answering the call and putting them in place. Despite the current issue, there has been a significant drop in truck parking since they were installed.

The license plate on the front of the truck reads:

Would someone from traffic and parking enforcement please leave a citation on the windshield of the truck? If there are no fines or repercussions, then there is essentially no deterrent from repeat violations.

Dangerous intersection

stop sign obscured by nearby tree/shrubs - very dangerous.

Buses are parking on major roads and causing unsafe traffic situations. witnessed this on blue ridge road, edwards mill road and ridge road where there’s only 1 lane. bus drivers even get out and stand beside vehicle

This issue has been reported before, but is still an issue This vehicle is parked in the same spot every evening and many days a week all day several days a week and is occasionally joined be a Tacoma with a trailer owned by the same company.
The owner of this company seems to live in Glen Eden Townes where per their HOA laws it is illegal to run a business from your home
The location of the vehicle makes turning on to Glen Eden from Glen Henry difficult throughout most of the day due to not being able to see around without pulling into the street.

It is u Weston's that this is not a no parking zone but it is creating an I safe situation for many.
