Notified About

  • Macarthur Fwy Oakland, CA 94613, USA - Redwood Heights
Severe cracking and broken asphalt on the 580 just after the Mountain onramp. When you drive over this area it severely jolts your car and is damaging the suspension. It's been like this for way too long. If you could please also back up to the Mountain onramp. There is severely uneven asphalt at the end of the onramp which makes for a big drop. needs to be leveled off. Thank you.
  • 4065 Kuhnle Ave Oakland, CA 94605, USA - Redwood Heights
Kuhnle Avenue and frontage road huge pothole. plus potholes along frontage road
  • Macarthur Blvd & Pierson St Oakland, CA, 94619, USA - Maxwell Park

Saw light cycle go through two cycles without issuing Pierson street to MacArthur a green light at all. Same thing happened on morning of 2/27/24. People end up running red light to get through intersection.

Note that this intersection of Pierson and MacArthur is challenging in the mornings because the timing of the adjacent traffic lights (MacArthur / buell & MacArthur / Richards into Mills college) creates a scenario where the following sequence happens.
    - MacArthur / Buell turns red for MacArthur bound drivers, while MacArthur / Pierson remains green and MacArthur / Richard’s also remains green. This stacks people up on MacArthur, and invariably this loads up the intersection of MacArthur/ Pierson, leaving no space for folks turning onto MacArthur from Pierson
-once the light for MacArthur / Pierson gets repaired (see ticket for 2/28/24 saying “green light not operating for Pierson to MacArthur”), the timing needs to be improved. I suggest timing the MacArthur/ Richard’s intersection so it will keep the MacArthur traffic stopped BEFORE the people turning from Pierson onto MacArthur get a green. This way, there will be at least 4 cars of room for folks turning from Pierson onto MacArthur heading towards Buell. Otherwise, you get traffic jams, and it’s because the folks like myself are irritated seeing the intersection get filled up with zero space to go, thus waiting another light cycle, and repeating the whole thing next light cycle, with even more folks backed up on Pierson.

Don’t believe me, go have a look 7:45-9:00am Monday - Friday.

  • 5022-5062 Macarthur Blvd Oakland, CA, 94619, USA - Mills College
Please protect the bike lane on MacArthur between 580 interchange and Seminary Ave in both directions with a physical barrier. Cars often use the bike lane to pass traffic on the right, endangering everyone.

  • 4856 Calaveras Ave Oakland, CA 94619, USA - Upper Laurel
All the sides of the sidewalk are blocked due to street construction. Then the apartment construction threw the fence on the sidewalk and now this is a hazard, too. Construction needs to clear the sidewalk and please hurry up with the street repair.

  • 5600 Bancroft Ave Oakland, California, 94605 - Seminary
This is just ridiculous, I am a tax paying citizen that shouldn't have to put up with this! This isn't legal yet not only has it been allowed to stay its growing and people are adding to it. Trash abandoned cars, blocking the sidewalk and part of the street.
