Notified About

  • Christopher Columbus Dr & Marin Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
The left signal turning from Columbus onto Marin coming from Grove Street was apparently intentionally turned off to allow more time for people to drive across Columbus. This makes it basically impossible to turn left onto Marin, as you have to cross two lanes of traffic, wait for Marin to clear, and wait for any pedestrians in the cross-walk. It often takes one car two full cycles to turn left through the intersection. It should be turned back on and the whole cycle should be lengthened to solve both problems.
  • 1 Canal Street Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Could you please reinstate the "No Parking" signs next to the bike lane of Grove Street near 235 Grand Street (behind Grand Street)? Cars are often parked there, causing frequent traffic problems.
  • 274-292 10th St Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - Downtown
On 12/15/17 I reported illegal stopping/standing in front of the Embankment House (issue 3954356) and requested that no stopping or standing signs be placed in front of the entrance to this building. 3 months ago Andrew V indicated that the no stopping or standing signs would be installed. On 1/29 Jennifer C reported that the signs were installed and the issue was closed. This is not true. No Stopping/Standing signs were not installed in front of the entrance. Instead No Parking signs were installed at each corner. As you can see from the photo, this is still a problem. It is creating hazardous road conditions every day and it is only a matter of time before there is an accident. Reopen this issue and fix it properly.
  • 2nd St & Coles St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
The intersection of coles and 2nd street and the crosswalks are continually blocked off by traffic since you jammed up the intersection of 2nd and newark with stupid useless plastic sticks. You need to remove the ugly mess at the end of the block and put the road back the way it was and just move the crosswalk to the narrow part of the road. You are continually endangering pedestrians with this mess because cars are constantly sitting in the crosswalks. All this did is make everything worse when there was never a problem before. Do you need to have a pedestrian hit by a car before you take this down? Just put up a speed bump or traffic light if you need to. It also jams up traffic at the laundromat there because a lot of people stop to pick up laundry and you took away the only space to safely pul over out of the way
  • 8 Erie St Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - Downtown
Talde regularly draws very loud crowds late at night on weekdays. The crowds are barely the problem, they often draw people blaring music from their cars at unreasonable volumes and revving their engines late at night. Why are there never police around at night in such a busy area?
  • 205 15th Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Every day more and more garbage from the junkies at the shelter come to the church and trash the place up. We have mice, rats, and possum problems. Kids can't play on the sidewalk because there is tons of drug paraphernalia left overs please helps us out its on going.
  • 321-327 Grove St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

We all know the person who is handicapped and sitting on a wheel chair in the sidewalk of Columbus and Grove near the square or near the PATH entrance.
Whose responsibility it is to take care of him? Looks like someone drops in and picks him. While I surely want to join the others to help him , don't know how to. Should the city take care of it ?

In the morning rush people see him every day and dropping a dollar in his bowl is not going to solve his problem. I have raised this sometime back. Thought of raising it again.

  • 191-193 Newark Avenue Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown

Gypsy Grill's sidewalk cafe area extends more than halfway across the total width of the sidewalk. It is very problematic during rush hour.

There are unused holes for the fencing that appear to be in the proper place, but they do not use those.

  • Second Street And Marin Boulevard Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown

This issue was reported on November 1, 2016 (https://seeclickfix.com/issues/3036359). Stating "this intersection has not been turned over to the City of Jersey City as of yet. It is still under construction. We have reported this SCF to the Contractor, Tiffany Electric. " is a lame excuse for Jersey City Government to sidestep doing their job. Isn't someone in the city responsible for overseeing contractor work? This is simply a sign that Jersey City just does not care about it's pedestrians. This problem would have been fixed within days if part of the vehicular traffic light was broken or missing. FIX THE ISSUE AND HOLD THE CONTRACTOR ACCOUNTABLE.

Jersey City - make it yours - because the government of Jersey City doesn't care enough to make it theirs!

  • 168 1st St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
The charging stations are rarely available to use in front of the Oakman. It's very frustrating the parking in front of the charging stations are occupied by non- electric vehicles. Kindly consider adding signage stating "Tow Away Zone- Plugged In Vehicles Only" would
alleviate the problem as well as green lines painted on the ground as they are in other places around the city. There actually used to be signs some months back but they were removed.

352-360 Marin Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

*This is being reposted because the last post was marked as resolved when the problem still persists.*

A high pitched whistling sound has been occurring at night for multiple months at this location. It is a shrill, fairly loud sound, like a squeaky pump or belt from a piece of machinery.

  • 371 Warren St Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - Downtown
who do I contact about homeless living on corner, I've called police and city officials who keep passing the buck, this is a on going issue & needs to be addressed asap, people are coming to me claiming that they pay good rent taxes in the area for this to be happening, don't think if this was in front of city Hall it would be happening, please advise on what can be done to resolve this problem, thank you
