Signage and perhaps red painted curbing in front of the entry would be a good idea.

Only a curb cut would work. These cars and trucks stop at will and no one is there to stop them. I hope they have a curb cut for the one they're building now!!!

This is a systemic problem. It's much more convenient to block the street for drop-offs and deliveries. Until an equally strong disincentive is applied this behavior will continue.

This issue has gotten worse. It is extremely dangerous for residents of the 86 unit Hamilton Park Condos to exit their parking lot. Cars park on the south side of the street (between Jersey and Coles) right up to the entrance of the parking lot gate completely blocking the egress view. And with loitering cars in front of the embankment house which is directly in front of the driveway it is a serious accident waiting to happen. Inching out of the parking lot is not easy bc cars (lost, looking for tunnel, increase in traffic generally) go speeding by. City needs to address the problem. Move parking on 10th street between Jersey and Coles to the north side of street. Or put stantions on either side of the HPC parking lot driveways. Also enforce no standing in front of Embankment House.

While I agree this matter needs to be corrected, reducing parking on that block is not the way to go. The Embankment renters already take up too many spots (mostly illegally since they have no permits) and the parking enforcement is just plain terrible. Illegal parking is at it's worst and there is just no enforcement. The answer is put a parking agent in this area full time to enforce all parking rules including the stopping in front of the Embankment. After a week or two it will be completely corrected.

...Then after 2 weeks it will start all over again. City needs to enforce by forcing people to do the right thing by making it impossible to do the wrong thing. Hence:
Move parking from the south side of the street to the north side. Or put stantions by the south side driveways so parked cars can’t block visibility for those exiting the parking lot. City should think of these things before they allow 300 unit buildings to pop up in densely habited areas. It’s unbelievable.

I think if you move the parking to that side they will just double park. As for your final thought, you are one hundred percent right. I suggest we all get together in the community, including the HPNA who are very helpful, and get the mayor and councilman on this.

Concerned: you are probably right about double-parking! Argh. I believe HPNA is on this, the Condo has petitioned the city as well. The more people who make a fuss the better.

I feel like the concierge in Embankment House should say something to delivery drivers. “Are you parked illegally? Go back out and fix it.”

This problem continues to create a public safety hazard but nothing is done. Still no signs, no action, despite promises. Seems like a double standard for folks like Lefrak.

Well it has become apparent this thread hasn't yielded a solution to the reported problem, but it has yielded a troll. Rather than provide constructive solutions a diverting issue is continually raised. Is the garbage a problem? Sure. But raise another issue for it so it get's the consideration it deserves.
