Notified About

  • Rowan St And Six Forks Raleigh, NC - Six Forks Corridor
A left turn light is needed when turning onto Six Forks from Rowan Street by St. Timothy's School. This is especially needed during school arrival and dismissal. The cars turing left onto Six Forks from St. Timothy's School and the cars turning left onto Six Forks from Carroll Middle School have trouble safely turning. Please fix this before there is a severe accident and a child from one of the schools is hurt.

4309 Pamlico Dr Raleigh, NC 27609, USA - Six Forks
Please paint white lines on Rowan St. at the base of the stop signs in both directions. This intersection has been conducive to drivers running the stop signs for many years and the city has already invested heavily in trying to prevent this. However, I believe a solution as simple as white lines on the street would provide the necessary visual queue for drivers approaching the intersection on Rowan St.
  • 817 Northbrook Drive Raleigh, NC 27609, USA - Six Forks
Three speed hunps on Northbrook are too high, and were installed in violation of the City of Raleigh Neighborhood Traffic Management Program, section 4.3.2. The city's own traffic count was 4,120, so speed humps should never have been considered. These public nuisances should be removed immediately.
  • 100 Dartmouth Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks Corridor
North Hills and North Hills East could be connected via a pedestrian bridge over Six Forks Road at Dartmouth.

Currituck Dr & Tyrrell Rd Raleigh, NC, 27609, USA - Six Forks
  • 825 Northbrook Drive Raleigh, NC - Six Forks

The new speed bumps on Northbrook Drive are too aggressive. The speed limit is 30 mph through that section (outside of school hours). The signage indicates these are 25mph bumps, however I have passed with three different cars and only feel like my property is safe from damage at a maximum of 19mph.

This is an excessive, imposing, and offensive traffic calming method, especially to neighbors who have to travel through this section multiple times per day. Speeds of 25-30 mph through these areas outside of school times are slow enough to give reasonably alert drivers and pedestrians ample time to respond to typical hazards.

Please modify these bumps so that the average, well-maintained car can navigate at the posted safe speed without damaging the driver's personal property.

  • Six Forks And Mourning Dove Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
When heading south on Six Forks, there is no green arrow light at this intersection to make a left turn. During high traffic times it is almost impossible to make a left turn in one light cycle at this intersection. A green left turn arrow is urgently needed.
  • 900 Block Of Tyrrell Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
This issue has been pending since being reported in July -- the pole was broken early in 2018 and continues to pose a hazard to pedestrians walking down Tyrrell. This includes school children walking to Brooks Elementary. When the accident occurred, a new pole was installed; but the old broken one was left pending relocation of all utilities. The appropriate public utility needs to be made to remove this pole since they obviously do not see it as a pressing issue

4208 Six Forks Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks Corridor
Need either an overpass or underpass for pedestrians to connect the two large developments on both sides of Six Forks Rd at this point.
  • Rowan St Between Six Forks Rd & Drexel Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks Corridor
4 or 5 speed humps were built on Rowan St with "Speed Hump 25 MPH" signs. The humps were built much too high, the crests of some humps were ground off & flattened making them even bumpier. The humps also are still too high. Cars have to slow to ~ 10 - 15mph to pass over. Please remove the incorrectly-built humps and build them shorter and smoother as those on Northbrook Dr.
  • 901 Northbrook Drive Raleigh, NC - Six Forks
The west bound lane of this speed bump has a major depression on the west side of the bump. Unsuccessful attempts have been made to patch the depression; the depression is amplified by the speed bump that was constructed. Please have this area fixed before someone losses control of their vehicle due to the unanticipated depression after going over the bump; it is a dangerous situation..
  • 141 Park At North Hills Raleigh, NC 27609, USA - Six Forks Corridor
After numerous reports of noise violations after 11:00pm, the situation remains unchanged. Despite proposed remedies, we are frequently awakened until after 2:00am by large groups of loud, and often intoxicated, patrons from this establishment. This has been recorded on video, and submitted in previous complaints.
Do the residents of this building retain any rights in regards to noise given the existence of the business downstairs? As it stands right now, the city noise ordinance period of 11pm-7am is not being adhered to on most nights. If the business is not to be held accountable for the noise, then this space is nearly unlivable. It would be good to know if we need to move or if we have any hope of this changing.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
