3214 Mackinac Island Ln Raleigh, NC 27610, USA - Southeast
Please do something to stop all the speeding and illegal passing! I almost hit someone this morning who was passing a line of three cars!
  • 3304 Mackinac Island Ln Raleigh, NC 27610, USA - Southeast
There are homemade no parking signs at this location. Legal? Sign ordinance?

This suburban passes vehicle every morning because, to him, 25 mph is too slow. Please see the video of him passing at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovjUyN1xG2Q&feature=youtu.be

There are STILL homemade no parking signs at 3304 Mackinac Island Ln despite reassurances from city employees that there are none here. There are signs about 2 feet tall that say 'no parking in front of private residence' that are on the right of way at the curb line.

The no parking zone in this area is a joke. I drive by here almost every day and more often than not, there are cars and groups of people standing in the street. It would be nice if the police could check on this area when they patrol the neighborhood. It would also be nice if they would stop the groups of dirtbike motorcycles that race through the neighborhood at high rates of speed. I know they are not registered in NC and they don't wear helmets.

I know that the trash must be picked up, but I think it is ridiculous to come home and find my can in the middle of my driveway. I literally have to get out of my car and move the can in order to park my car. If the driver lifts the can to dump the trash, I think he should be able to put it back on the curb where it is not in the way.

Barrington Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Southeast
The speeding on this street is unbearable for the people who live on it, especially us with small children. It is a posted 25 zone and most people on average do 35/40 and some seem to be going 50. I have to have a death grip on my two year old every time we are walking to our car. We see Raleigh police out here occasionally pulling speeders and we are very thankful for that but it doesn't seem to help long term. It would be nice to have speed bumps and children at play signs.

The speed limit is 25 mph. Why set it so low if it's going to be such an issue? I have just been passed twice illegally on this road because I was driving too slow for other traffic.

I know it's been reported here before but it's back.

There are clearly marked no parking signs in front of the park here. Every day between 5 and 7 there are scores of cars parked in the no parking zone. I am looking at 17 cars right now including two that are jacked up parked in the grass on the right of way.

Can we enforce the no parking zone?

  • Barwell Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Southeast
There is an elementary school as well as a community center offering child and family activities. I see children walking to school with their parents or children walking to the community center. This is a dangerous walk especially the areas near Pearl Road, Rock Quarry Road and Barwell Road. There is no safe place to walk down Barwell Road. Why would the city of Raleigh place th school and community center there without a safe way for the community to get to these facilities. People should be able to safely walk to these facilities.

5843-5983 Quitman Trail Raleigh, NC 27610, USA - Southeast
Semi Truck and trailer parked within the community between Quitman Trl and Marcony Way. This area is far too often used to park dump truck and construction vehicles but this is the first time they have been so bold as to park the truck and trailer. No idea who is responsible for the vehicle.
