I think your counter mechanism got ripped off the street

I was thrilled to try the new eagle harbor shoulder on my bike rides today. I was less thrilled to encounter what seem like some missing safety signage. I didn't see any signs that indicate where the widened shoulder starts, nor is it clear that the shoulder is separated in most areas by a dirt strip- didn't see that because of the dappled sunlight until I almost ran into it. At the bottom of eagle harbor drive near head Of the bay, heading East to west/north, there was no indication for either cars or bikes that the bike lane ended abruptly and I was dumped right into the road with no shoulder. Did not feel very safe.

I submitted a post about this bamboo. It was investigated and marked as resolved by public works as “having been removed”. I just walked by it today and it is exactly the same as when I submitted the original request, growing up the slope towards the road. It was also stated by you that mowing would not be a problem because it spreads from underground. There are two problems with this statement- one, many bamboos readily spread from cut stem pieces, so I don’t know ghat your assumption is correct, and two, that just confirms that this properties massive bamboo infestation will continue to grow into the right of way. This is not resolved.

There is an enormous stand of running bamboo on the property next to new Brooklyn rd. After public works cut down all the right of way vegetation I think it was able to get a foothold in the right of way. If you come through again you could spread this bamboo all over the roadside. I am extremely concerned about this bamboo both where it has already spread and for its potential to take over the road shoulder.

I think this might be a mail theft and dump. Big pile of unopened mail scattered down slope of s side new Brooklyn. From mandus Olsen and holly farm lane addresses. I picked up what I could to dry out but there is more too far down slope for me to safely retrieve

This tree is directly across from grizdale ln on a property for sale but maybe in the right if way? it is so choked with ivy it will soon if it is not yet become a hazard tree, and it is right next to the power lines. Ivy should be cut all around base if tree to release it.

Actually this is the opposite of impeding right of way. The mower just came through here, and while I appreciate the need to clear vegetation for safety, dozens of the trees well back from the road had their limbs shredded. This is a great way to create entry points for pests and disease, and weaken trees. Could I ask that greater care is taken, particularly for trees that are nowhere near the road way? Thanks.

Yet another round of road reflectors pulled off, assuming by the snow plow, now in fragments all along the roadside. This is from a few hundred feet of new Brooklyn road. Amplify this across the island and we have a ton of fragmented plastic now heading for our stormwater systems. Not good.

It’s reflector destruction season! Folks we seriously need a different kind of reflector that doesn’t get scraped off the road with every snow plow.

Just on the roadside, at least partially in the ROW, there is an enormous dump of materials- cans and bottles but also disintegrating plastic bags, buried in and around the trees.

Cars are parking in the do not park area near the intersection to pick up students.

Your tree trimming along the roadside has left hundreds of trees with shredded branches and debris all over the road that I just nearly wrecked my bike on. I realize this is efficient but it’s a safety issue for bicyclists abs a health issue for trees.
