Still an issue with pooling/freezing in the bike lane and loud, house shaking bangs from large vehicles.

Any follow up. Area is still very unlevel causing lots of noise and vibrations for local residents. Also causes water to pool and freeze in the bike lane.

This is still a problem. Please fix and level the road were sewer contractors did an inadequate job. This is a big annoyance for local residents.

The Department of Public Works has been monitoring Colchester Ave for unusual subbase settlement under the concrete road slabs hidden below the asphalt layer. Potential voids under the roadways surface combined with sandy soils transmit vibrations through the ground. DPW has accepted this roadway patch with the understanding additional settlement is likely to occur, and further excavation work in this vicinity may be required. Should icing/freezing occur in the bike lane over winter months, please call DPW to have the issue addressed.
