There are still at least 3 cars in backyard. One has never moved. It is a black SUV which looks like it has things in the front seat like it is stored there.
It is parked right next to the foubdation where the barn which was demolished is.
What building permit lasts for OVER THREE YEARS!
It is an eyesore and a safety issue.

Why bother to keep reporting to See Click Fix?
You have to do more than just monitor the car situation if it continues LCI!
At least one other house on Springside also has cars which park on the front lawn.
And that hole in the ground is a disgrace!
Next step I guess because very little has been done is to go to my Alderperson.

Staff have gone here and will follow up about your concern about vehicles parked at this location. Please keep in mind the barn has a permit and LCI is not involved in that aspect of the complaint.

Yes but the demolished barn is part of the property and mess in the backyard which I feel you should be working with the building department on this issue.
No effort has been made in at least 3 years to finish clearing up the back or building. I dont believe they have any intention of doing anything.

LCI is working on this issue with the Building Department, we each have our own concerns and jurisdictional powers. LCI and the Building Department are separate City Departments now, many years ago when Elaine was the Neighborhood Specialist they were one department and we worked very closely.

The property owner has repaired the broken fence and removed some debris from the yard based on LCI inspecting this property and following up.

They have done repairs in and around the yard but it is still unsafe.

I am disgusted with the city's response to this issue and have even spoken to the mayor. Nothing has improved. I undetstand that they have been spoken to about the condition of the property but nothinlg has been done that we can see.
At least 3 cars ate parked in the backyard still. One is a totally abandoned black SUV filled with trash and covered with dust next to the hole in the ground and empty foundation which was a barn that was knocked down at least 3 years or more ago.
They supposedly have a building permit for that site but I guess there is no time limit on when work must be completed.
The grass in the front yard is always maintained but on the Springside Avenue side just behind the metal guard rail the grass is so high it makes it difficult for any cars pulling out of Hard Street a danger of not seeing traffic coming from the right up Springside.
As I said earlier when I spoke to the mayor, he told me if I was not satisfied with 0the response to See Click Fix issue to contact him directly.
I dont want to do this but this issue has been going on for long enough.

WELL HERE WE ARE AGAIN
MY ISSUE HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING THIS TIME FOR OVER 200 DAYS.
AND IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE LAST TIME I COMMENTED.
IM ADDITION TO THE BLACK SUV PARKED NEXT TO THE GAPING HOLE IN THE BACK YARD(IT HASNT BEEN MOVED AND HAS JUNK IN IT). THE GAPING HOLE WHICH WAS A BARN WHICH WAS KNOCKED DOWN WHEN CURRENT RESIDENTS MOVED IN STILL IS THERE.
THEY SUPPOSEDLY HAVE A BUILDING PERMIT! NO WORK HAS EVER BEEM DONE IN AT LEAST 3 YEARS.
NOW THERE IS AN ABOVE GROUND POOL ON THE BACK YARD AND AT LEAST 3 CARS ARE PARKED THERE AT ANY ONE TIME EVERYDAY AND OVERNIGHT. WHILE THEY DID ORIGINALLY CLEAR THINGS UP IT WAS SO THEY COULD PUT MORE CARS THERE AND JUNK AGAINST THE BACK OF THE HOUSE.
I WILL COMPLIMENT THEM AS THEY HAVE ERECTED A NICE WHITE FENCE ON THE FRONT YARD AND KEEP THAT LOOKING GOOD, THE SIDE CLOSEST TO THE ROAD(SPRINGSIDE) NEEDS TO BE KEPT CUT BACK SO CARS PULLING OUT OF HARD STREET INTO SPRINGSIDE HAVE A CLEAR LINE OF SIGHT SO THEY CAN PULL SAFELY OUT.
THIS IS A JOKE!
NOTHING CONSTRUCTIVE HAS BEEN DONE.AND NOTHING WILL BE DONE UNTIL YOU BECOME MORE FORCEFUL.

LCI staff have contacted the property owner.

The yard will be cleaned up. Staff will examine the concern about the SUV.

The backyard is still a mess. The black SUV has not moved since my last report even though you said you would look into it. Still at least 3 other cars parked in backyard one without CT plates.

And when is building inspector going to act on hole in ground which was a barn torn down at least three years ago.

I have also done 3 of these reports since November about the fire hydrant in front of my house being out of service since it was hit in a car accident.
My safety at one 108 Springside as well as the safety of my neighbors especially those in the Mountain View Condos is at risk. Another case of negligence and no response by the city.

This whole issue should have been resolved a long time ago. It needs to be checked on more frequently.
Objects are pile up in the back porch area about 5 feet high in a pile.
Black SVU is not running and has not been removed. Other cars in the yard have out of state plates which means they are not registered in CT and not paying taxes in New Haven on cars.
Backyard has gotten worse and still nothing has been done with hole in ground which supposedly they have builders permit and it has been at least 3 years and probably more.

This property is worse than ever in the back yard. Cars all over the place many with out of state markers.

In front of and on side of house on corner of Springside and Hard the weeds are so high it has become hazardous to pull safely out of Hard Street to turn left up Springside because you cannot see the cars coming up Springside from Blake Street.

No I dont . But I believe LCI has been out there a number of times and nothing ever changes but something has to be done.

Please keep in mind, if you complain about your neighbors, they might do the same thing to you. Everyone unwittingly commits several violations every day without even knowing it.

Usually, people ignore those violations, but it only takes one person to blow the whistle and get you busted. Please consider the repercussions of your actions.
