Here's the same problem at another Food Lion close by. This one is off Wake Forest Road (4317 Fall Of The Neuse Rd). This happens very frequently at Food Lion and Krogers, when there are plenty of open spaces available. This is very dangerous to pedestrians that are walking out, and of course against the law.

Has Food Lion or the Landlord of the property been notified yet about this? It's often I see this at both Food Lions (Millbrook/Six Forks and the one shown in the picture at Wake Forest Rd). Frequent law breaking should be easy to catch.

Here we go.....every weekend I go to adjacent stores you clearly see people breaking the law by parking in Fire Lanes at Food Lion. This one is at 4317 Falls of the Neuse Road at the Wake Forest Square shopping center. Someone needs to do something about this before something serious happens (like a kid gets hit by a car because you can't see them walking out of the store or a Fire Truck needs to get there to save patron having a heart attack inside).

Not to mention that it is just plain ignorant❗️

Kroger just put up new tons of no parking / Fire Lane signs at their location off Six Forks Rd (they also had tons of people breaking this law). Would someone please let Food Lion or the Landlord of these 2 lcoations know they need to do the same??

That food lion is in old wake forest rd not six forks

it's both Food Lions.....the one at the corner of Millbrooke/ Six Forks and then the other one at Wake Forest Road near the Bojangles. Both seem to attract people that think it's ok to park in the Fire Lane instead of walking 20 feet from the parking lot. This is very dangerous to the pedestrians walking out because oncoming traffic can't see them.

Here's more.....this happens all the time at both of these Food Lions. At what point does the law begin to write tickets? Or should I just start parking up there too since nobody's going to address the issue???

I think its just something prevalent with Food Lions in general. I live near the one on Six Forks @ Millbrook and see this each and every time I go to that store for over three years now. This also occurs at nearly every Food Lion I happen to patronize. This would indicate that the managers of these stores simply do not want to accost these patrons but would rather just sit back and do nothing. City of Raleigh cant enforce anything because it happens too infrequently even though it happens constantly.

Baloney. The police can ticket anyone they find parked there because it is a fire zone. They just can't be bothered. I've seen police cruise right by these illegally parked cars without giving them a second glance. I realize it's not a high priority, but a few high-visibility instances of handing out tickets might make others think twice about doing it.

Or better yet, how about a few towing parties? I have no sympathy for these lazy bums.

You get your baloney at Food Lion? Its too low priority, they wont do anything until someone burns up in a fire in the cheese department.
