This building appears to be abandoned, but does not look very well secured. Litter piles up around this property. Can this be cleaned up? Can the building either be rehabbed by the current owner, or sold to someone else who will?

I haven’t noticed a change in the tarps other than that they fly off/deteriorate from time to time. According to the online registry of deeds records, there is a lien on this property as the Vacant Building Registration Fee wasn’t paid.
If there are people living there, has the city offered any help to them? No power and a hole in the roof does not seem like safe living conditions.
Can anything be done about the litter that piles up around the property?

I’m not sure if it was you, but I recall seeing someone picking up trash in front of the house (W Franklin St side) a number of days (weeks?) after my post and recall thinking I was slightly ironic.
I haven’t clearly seen anyone there for awhile so it’s possible they have left. I used to live l across the street and had an excellent view of the whole “setup”. It was somewhat a case of of what ghetto fixes can I see today. I now only visit so don’t see changes as much. The giant roof cave in towards the front of the house was definitely a surprise. (It has been “tarped” however.) I think the speed in which these issues get patched is part of what made me think someone still stays there. Unless someone does frequent house checks.
