Yep. Rode to work through here today at 1 p.m. and felt, once again, that it was way too dark.

This underpass often feels creepy (dark, neglected, and often smelling of trash or urine). Additional lighting would help, and it would likely need to be 24/7 since it is very dark even during the day. Any other ideas about how to make it less creepy? I think more foot/bike traffic would help, but that seems unlikely until it feels brighter and safer.

Agree. These lights need to be on 24/7 and much brighter. It's not creepy, just dark. Also street sweeper through there would be nice once in a while, and patch the potholes that you can't see when you're riding your bike (during the day).

It feels sketchy even when you drive through there.

Just rode my bike through there after dark, and there were no lights on at all. I have heard that the Street Light Division is on it which is good--we need lights there pronto.

The lights are on 24x7 since late last week, and certainly have been on during the day. If you go by and the lights are not on, please post back here with the date and time that you observed the lights being out.

We are installing new fixtures where the fixtures have been vandalized (the cause of the outage noted in the original post). Once we receive the new fixtures and the work has been scheduled I will post back with an expected completion.

We are delineating Street Lamp issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to Dec 31, 2015 are being closed. If your Street Lamp issue still needs to be addressed, please create a new issue by selecting the Street Lamp service request in SeeClickFix. Providing a pole number and/or a more precise location is important. Once your issue is submitted, the Transportation, Traffic and Parking Department will acknowledge the issue and create a maintenance/repair work order.
