I am writing today due to concern in the neighborhood with regards to two vacant lots on Armour Drive in the Oakland Hills that have not been cleared of vegetation.

The lots are 048F773409000 and 048F737409100 and are adjacent to a third lot, 6842 Armour Drive. The third lot, 6842, has been cleared but the other two have not.

Our understanding is that the lots changed ownership this year and we’d like to confirm that the new owners have been notified that they are out of compliance and that the city is doing everything within the scope of their authority in this regard, including re-issuing the notices of violation.

Armour Drive off of Thornhill is a dead end street that has experienced mudslides as well as a fire evacuation due to the fire on Snake Road in the recent past.

Please protect Armour Drive as well as the large collector roads of Thornhill Drive and Snake Road that it sits between which are critical to the Oakland Hills, and take action to reduce the vegetation on these vacant lots.
