Here's a thought...don't ride your bicycle on this road. There isn't any shoulder and the limited sight distance is a problem. As a school bus driver I think it's NOT a good idea for people to ride their bikes or jog on Gorman Rd. I don't think it's fair for bus drivers or people in their cars to have to wait for you people to get out of the way so we can get to our destinations. Please ride somewhere else because, rest assured that if I come up behind you, I will go around you.

Jackie - I understand your frustration. I am absolutely open to people passing me when it is safe to do so. I try to stay out of the way of cars and make it easy and safe for people to pass when they can. However, I am also trying to get to my destination and I have a right to do so safely. Please be safe out there! There are plenty of areas on this stretch of road where it is safe to pass, all I ask is that for my safety and yours, that you wait until you can see.

I always wait until I can see too pass because by the time I get on that section of Gorman Rd, I have kids on my bus. And as long as I am passing bicyclists and giving them 3 feet of space, I will continue to pass them. I will always be mindful of where you are when I pass you so please be mindful of this 50 foot yellow box on wheels and move over.

We are in agreement!!! Thank you for passing with 3feet and plenty of sight distance, it keeps me safe and I appreciate it. I will definitely continue to move over as much as I can when safe to do so, I don't want to be in anyone's way if I can avoid it!
