Description
Is it possible to get the stop sign put back into place at Tower Ave and Pan Am way, or some other means to control speeding drivers?
The stop sign was removed during construction and cars now speed very quickly down this road past Almanac Beer Co to get westbound. We have a lot of rideshare drivers stopping in front of the brewery to drop off passengers and some drivers are often speeding around the base and unaware of stopped cars or passengers crossing the street.

The issue with cars (mostly rideshares from what I have seen) blocking West-bound Tower Ave in front of Almanac Brewery is a problem. I personally have observed this happen more than a handful of times. Combined with the removed stop sign which has caused drivers to speed past this area, it poses a risk to your patrons (rideshare users) and other vehicles.
To reduce this hazard, I suggest you add some highly visible signage there such as "No Stopping Anytime," a red curb, and "Passenger Load / Unload Ahead" with arrows directing drivers into the parking lot.
Also some signs to alert passing drivers like "Slow, Pedestrian Crossing," etc. would be a good idea too.
The other day I was driving East on Tower Ave past your brewery following 2 cars and another was behind me. There were construction cones blocking the right East-bound lane so we only had the left lane to drive in. There was a car stopped dropping off/picking up people blocking half of the West bound lane in front of Almanac Brewery. A big full size 4x4 pickup truck was driving quickly West-bound on Tower ave towards us and decided to swerve around the stopped car, going about 1-2 feet over the median into our oncoming lane. Myself and the other cars heading East-bound reacted by cutting it as close to the cones as possible. Luckily we avoided a head-on crash. Another factor at play: it was almost sunset, and the truck driver who crossed the median was likely somewhat blinded by the sun.
