The police captain of the North District is aware of this issue, it is usually mentioned at his monthly meeting held on the third Wednesday of the month 7 pm at P.S. #7. The captain stated they need more manpower and would have to schedule a patrol for that area.

I thought the teens were killed due to bike riding down the hill into the traffic of merging 1 & 9,

What is the correct story of the tragic accident. ??

The teens were hit by a hit and run car, the teens were traveling west bound on Leonard St. the car was speeding north bound on the entrance ramp off Tonnelle Ave. The crash occurred at the foot of the Terrace Ave. / Leonard St. intersection Terrace Ave. melds into the ramp.

OK, Teens were traveling west bound on Leonard Ave toward Terrace Ave, meaning going down the hill. right ?? On a bike on in a car ??

The teens were riding a bicycle. the impact flung one of them over the fence onto Hwy 1&9 Tonnelle Ave.

Ron, I went there this morning. To me, it seems like the teenagers were riding their bike down the hill on Leonard St,, with the facts of their weight and speed,, they were not able to stop the bike into incoming or passing traffic at the bottom ramp or to incoming traffic. Sad,Traffic Dept needs to install a bump or those yellow barrels fill with sand type or fence at the bottom of Terrace Ave. to void another tragedy by a teenager riding a bike or skate board or a run away vehicle without brake. Makes me sad but it does happen. Thank you.
