Good Morning 5371 Sunny field Court Ellicott City 21043. I contacted Mr. Donovan 4-16-19 and notified him of the public meeting on April 29th regarding Environmental Service's plans to complete stream restorations in front of his house. I told him how we could help him remove a dead tree from the mouth of the pipe. Our staff removed the tree and filled in some low areas with topsoil seed and straw. Mr. Donovan agreed to have the dead tree removed and we will assess the erosion issue over time.
There was no tree at the mouth of the pipe. The tree on the open space behind our property was removed. There was no soil, seed or straw placed there so I am not clear if you actually are talking about the same area. Mr. Donovan was out of town the date of the meeting. I have called because the erosion issue was never resolved and is worse.
After a year and a half, Howard County has not done anything with regards to the direction of storm water run off from Rockburn Township on to the property of 5371 Sunny Field Ct. This has resulted in the erosion of 5371 property, and sending sentiment in to Rockburn Branch. Howard County needs to correct this storm water management issue. If Howard County does not resolve this issue, the problem will be brought to the attention of the MD Department of the Environment indicating that the negligence of Howard County is resulting in continued discharge in to Rockburn Branch, the Patapsco River, and ultimately the Chesapeake Bay.
