Thank you for informing me of this issue. I came out twice today to investigate but unfortunately, the wet conditions made it difficult to come to a conclusion. I will return to the area Monday morning when the weather is better.

Thank you. The “seepage” is to the right of our driveway, to the left of the River Birch tree, and a few feet from the curb. We’ve been living here 25 years and this area has always been dry. It could be the result of the contractors who were laying fiber optic cables a few weeks ago damaging a pipe.

My neighbor painted circles around the seepages to make them easier for you to spot.

Thank you for marking the areas. I returned to the location today and I do believe that an issue with the sewer system is the cause. I called Fulton County and informed them of the possible problem and sent them pictures. They informed me that they would schedule someone to come out and check it.

I met with members from Fulton County yesterday to discuss the issue. They informed me that they would camera the pipe to inspect it for any blockages or failures. They do not believe it is a sewer issue due to the absence of smell. I will update you on their findings when I know.

Thanks for the update. If not a sewer issue, it’s possible that the contractors laying the fiber optic cable damaged a Fulton County water main. (Neither my or my neighbor’s water lines are in that area). The “leak” was noticed shortly after they completed their work.

I received an update from Fulton County today. They inspected the sewer line in question using a camera and did not find any issues with it.

The City of Alpharetta has resolved this request.
