Thank you for using 311GNV to notify the City of Gainesville of this issue. The Gainesville Police Department is in receipt of your service request and is investigating your concern. We will notify you of any significant status updates and when the issue has been resolved.

Our records reflect that GPD officers responded to that residence three times in February-2/15 at 9:57 P.M., 2/16 at 5:54 P.M. and at 10:26 P.M. There was also a noise complaint for a loud party at 904 NW 14th Ave on 2/17 at 12:16 A.M. The callers on these complaints were anonymous, or did not want to be contacted. Also at least one caller referred to the location as "the frat house", and most of the callers indicated it is a chronic problem.

Our officers will be directed to issue written violations for any verified violations, as opposed to verbal warnings, in order to start the formal civil citation process if there are any subsequent violations at the residence within 365 days.

If an officer responds to the location for a complaint and the noise is not plainly audible in excess of 200 feet from the residence property line, then the onus would be on the complaining person to sign the complaint form and appear in court for a nuisance noise violation. Please refer to City Ordinance Chapter 15-Noise for specific information.
