I reported this before, but nothing happened, and for some reason, the report was marked, "Completed!"

Oakland PWD and Waste management will not handle hazardous material or waste. The PWD call center should referring these issues to Oakland Fire 444-3322 its there job to deal with hazardous waste. There referral of issues to the proper depts is dismal at best.

Thanks, David. Someone else removed the garbage on top of the containers, so it wasn't the city. One would think that if the ticket wasn't going to be handled by this department, that it would at least indicate WHICH is the proper department for removal.

Both the PWD and waste management crews will pick up what they are allowed. Sadly they never mention or refer hazardous waste. There is a serious lack of communication issue with all all City of Oakland depts. I have never seen so many employees work so hard to so little.

I'm rather new to the neighborhood, and it's a learning curve for me. That said, I'm pleased to see there IS a way to report incidents - versus just ignoring it. At least there is some public awareness. The infrastructure - hopefully - will catch up!
