Description
I stopped in to the DPW for more flyers to distribute informing driveway encroached vehicles about the ordnance as proof or info as to the illegal activity. I have also needed these for interactions with BPD officers who question the need to do something when this issue happens after hours. ...it is a great tool. DPW employee was alone in the office and said there were none left and they couldn't/wouldn't make anymore until whenever....that is unacceptable. when can I come pick up new copies?

Folks - apologies for the confusion on this one and appreciate your patience. After reviewing previous flier language, and past practice of flier use, the City has determined not to continue distributing them.
They were produced shortly after the ordinance change as an education tool. They began being distributed on vehicles by residents - potentially creating some conflict or ambiguity.
Burlington Police Department is best positioned to handle the enforcement side of driveway encroachment. They should be contacted directly if any vehicles are violating this regulation. Public Works manages the ordinance and we will look for other ways to educate our community about proper on-street parking.
We do prefer to use See Click Fix as our maintenance reporting and responding tool - and this is how staff time is used best on this platform. If you'd like to continue this dialogue, feel free to email or call us during business hours - 802-863-9094 - or touch base with us on social media (monitored semi-regularly throughout the day). Thanks again for helping to keep Burlington an excellent place to live.
