Description

Ever since the streets were repaved over by Burger King, the new left-turn lane for bicyclists traveling north on Shellmound to turn onto Christie has misled tons of auto drivers thinking they can turn left there. I've seen a lot of cars start to go into that lane only to realize it's not for them, but even worse, I've seen three cars actually make the turn into oncoming one-way traffic coming from Christie toward Bay Street. It is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed. This intersection has to be fixed ASAP -- the signage is unbelievably tiny on the northbound signal. There needs to either be HUGE signage at the beginning of the lane that says "BICYCLES ONLY" or that lane needs to be taken out. Drivers are understandably confused by this lane that isn't clearly marked and just seems oddly too narrow for cars.
