Hi,
I work in the Natural Resource Office for the Howard County Department of Recreation & Parks. Thank you so much for sharing your photo of the "Large Milkweed Bugs". This species is actually native to our area. Like the Monarch Butterfly, this insect species is also dependent on Milkweed as a food source. You can read more about this species at the Maryland Biodiversity Project website at: https://www.marylandbiodiversity.com/viewSpecies.php?species=6500
