Thank you for submitting your request to Howard County Stormwater Management. Our staff will investigate the reported Stormwater Pond maintenance issue and respond.

Pond water elevation is slightly higher than usual. This seasons high rainfall amounts may have some results of this. Inspected the outfall and the pond is draining. Will monitor.

Thanks for checking on this, but I have lived in the neighborhood for almost 10 years and have never seen the pond not drain or drain as slowly as this. It is probably a foot higher than usual and has not drained to "normal" level for weeks, whereas it would take maybe a day max in the past, even after extensive rains. Don't know what the issue might be, but something isn't right.

This pond is still not draining properly...

Pond is slightly higher than normal, just like many facilities in the county due to the record rain fall. Pond is functioning and will be monitored.
