I wonder if there's some type of form letter that HONNA could develop to drop off at the door of properties where vegetation is overgrown too far into sidewalk? And do that first before escalating to city inspectors? Maybe in the letter let homeowner/resident know that if its not trimmed in a week or two that it will be reported to city? Seems like in most case it would be more efficient and neighborly way to handle these types of things. Most folks would probably take action quickly as soon as they were made aware of the problem. That could reduce the delay involved in getting city inspector out to premises. And the goal of safer walkways would be achieved faster in most or at least many cases. Just some food for thought.
