This is just unthinkable! They came in a couple of weeks ago and quickly cut the beautiful trees down to about 12 ft. stumps and left, with a complete mess on the sidewalks plus looking at the sad stumps is very distressing every day! They left a mess of mud and debris all over the sidewalks so one can not walk on the sidewalk. I still would like to see the permits to destroy those three beautiful trees, which could be at the back of the two lots they made out of one lot to put two huge buildings, can not even say homes, on the beautiful lot. The fact that they have not cut down the rest of the 12 ft. stumps and ground them out and then cleaned all the mud and debris off of the sidewalk makes us wonder, what is going on! So Sad in our Old Northeast!!!!!!!!!

Also, did they have permits to take down those trees?????????

Not o fan of anything that a developer does or the City of St. Petersburg. They both are all about the money. It is sad that i have this view. But i keep my eyes open and read the paper.

Of course Devenshire will get a pass from Codes Compliance...the City Council needs to change 286-H to prevent big builders from building McMansions that are allowed to go up to .85% impervious ratio, while homeowners who might want to put in a pool are only allowed to go up to .65%...or in the case of 105 14th AVE who was originally issued a permit to build a garage, and then the permit was reissued to allow for an "accessory dwelling unit" and now they are renting a 2 bedroom garage...we are tired of certain codes being enforced while others are swept aside. The permit 1706001338 violates code that states no new accessory dwellings as originally the property had a one car garage, with the new garage and all of the hardscape, they violate the .65% impervious space, the permit did not go through the DRC process. There is so much going on in Permit/Zoning that indicates that certain people/companies get to do what the rest of us are prevented from....
