Too bad there's not enough time to get enough voters to sign petition for the upcoming ballot. I would definitely sign petition and vote the homeless out of our city limits.
Can we work with the organization that is protecting river to pas a local ordinance that no camping within 100-200 feet of river. To protect fish from human waste?
Would that be with the state department of wildlife? The state government would have priority over the jurisdiction of the river, wouldn't it? Sounds like a terrific idea protecting the fish and cleanliness of the water.
I want solutions. Not hatred for people who are mentally challenged. Just kicking them out of their camping spots is not a solution. Just leaving them there to fend for themselves is not a solution either. Either way it is heartless and un-Christian.

What is unchristian is the way these people disrespect GOD's land. If they are followers of GOD they should respect the world HE has created for them rather than trash it and contaminate it. Take your holier than thou attitude and shove it. Keep GOD's world a clean and safer place to live. They may be challenged, but they refuse any help or assistance. Let 'em rot.
Corleone52 -> Everything I know about Christ makes me think he would approve of your attitude. And that's all I have to say. I know that anything I say will only make you dig your heels in deeper so I won't waste my time trying to make a point. And I'm not into casting pearls. You can have the last word all you want. I'm done.

It’s interesting, thank goodness I do not believe in got and see thing as they are. This sounds like a case not in my back yard with Kieth. It’s the local laws of Seattle that created this problem for us. Without enforcement of drugs and property crime this is what you get. More then 1/2 the people are not from our state. They are moving here because of the laws of Seattle. BTW Seattle is now the #1 city for property crime in the entire US. I wake up each day wondering what has been stolen from my truck or property.
Seattle lack of enforcement of drug and crime laws created this problem for us. Less then 1/2 of homeless are from WA. They move here from all over the state because laws are not enforced.
Seattle is now #1 in property crime in US.
Kieth would feel differently if his house or business continues to get broken into on a weekly bases.
If something isn't done about the local laws, you have good reason to worry. These miscreants that have been forced upon us in Tukwila are going to no doubt increase the crime rate but also cause the city to increase taxes because of excess littering that the tax payer and home owners have to foot because of their disrespect and disregard of other people's rights. Why should we have to pay for their littering and ignorance to ask for help. Whose problem is it anyway? It's theirs and should remain that way.
We used to walk along this path with our three little children ages 4,4 and 5 until the people camped along the river scared them.
I even got to the point I carried my pistol while walking there because of thes people they had no concern nor respect for those walking along the trail it also got to smell like a cesspool in some areas of the path.
It is sad when you cant use areas that our taxes pay for because of these people and our people in charge just look the other way.
Jose- Now you're talking. They're most likely urinating and pooping along the river or in the river. We don't need this. Also, why should the taxpayers put out the money to provide them with portable toilets? I pay for my own sewage bill, why shouldn't they have to do the same thing?Get rid of this travesty before they ruin it for the rest of us. Write to the Mayor and express your dislikes. I did.

Tough love with enforcement of laws.

Your request regarding camping has been closed. This site has been cleared. We did a follow up check on 10/25/2018 and found no evidence of new camps.
