I support the idea to eliminate parking on the corner of Nash Place and Colchester Ave. It is dangerous to make a left turn from Nash to Colchester Ave with a parked car blocking the visibility of oncoming traffic. It also blocks visibility of oncoming bicyclists. I also known that buses cannot pull over to the curb to let passengers board or disembark. Please review this situation. It is timely to make this change with the others that are being made to Colchester Ave.

Especially with the uphill bike lane being added from Winooski on Colchester Ave there will be more bicycle traffic and having appropriate sight lines for vehicles turning and bicyclist on the road is needed.

The No Parking Here to Corner signs will be moved to allow for further sight distance and in accordance with the City ordinances.

This requires us to contact Dig Safe to ensure the public safety of residents and our employees by having utility companies mark the location of underground utilities in the area. Dig Safe will notify the utility companies and the utilities will have 48 hours, not including weekends, to mark these locations. We will resolve the issue shortly afterward. Traffic Department moved the No Parking Here to Corner signs at the intersection of Nash Place and Colchester Avenue to be in accordance with city ordinance.
