I've been disheartened by the fact that two old homes on Bard Ave have recently been sold to developers, torn down and in their place multiple eye sore cookie cutter homes were erected. However, what has just recently happened to 394 Henderson Ave is where I draw the line. This beautiful and historic home build in 1989 was just torn down and something needs to be done about it. To make matters worse the house adjacent to 394, 380 Henderson Ave is now also on the market and my biggest fear is that this home will be similarly sold and razed. As Borough President the historical preservation and protection of Staten Island should be a priority...and yet I had to select "other" on this list. Please you need to do something.
