This intersection has been a nightmare for years. In addition to the above complaint, cars frequently turn left unto Momouth even when the left turn signal is red. Ambulances are always zooming though this intersection (from JC Medical). Pedestrians crossing Monmouth and Columbus are taking their lives in their hands. This has to be one of the worst intersections in the entire city. I've lived here for 11 years and all of the efforts made by the city to improve the situation have had limited success. Speed bumps, police enforcement, other measures are absolutely necessary to prevent future accidents (of which there have been many over the years). Please do more before its too late.

This will be sent over to the Community Relation Officer of the East District to ask the traffic monitoring be set up when the man power is available.

I appreciate the city looking into this. The speed bumps in Monmouth are ineffective as cars can swerve around the bumps to avoid them. Crossing at the intersection of Wayne and Monmouth is harrowing when there is traffic. The lane to go straight/turn left onto columbus gets backed up; the lane to turn right onto Columbus is usually open. Cars will make a quick movement into the open lane, and speed up to beat the light, and not realize there is a someone in the crosswalk.

Can these speed bumps be extended?
