Why are you making this a 'seeking federal funds' if this problem has been around for years and years and years, let alone when the country is 14trillion + in debt and counting!!! This is MERIDENS problem, not the states, not New Englands, NOT THE US GOVNT. This isnt even a state road. Holy cow i've never seen such a disorganized city in my entire life. Fix it right the first time, and be done with it. Do not go off on a tangent stating that its the govnt's problem. It's Meridens problem. Fix it Mr. City Manager.

Larry is trying to insinuate that federal or state funding is free money that city will receive. Who do you have us for Mr Kendzior? Dummies? I pay state and federal taxes, there is not such thing as free money. Main City streets in shambles and its a "multiple year process"? How about citizens pay their taxes in "multiple year" installments then?

From those federal taxes that we both pay, a portion will be allocated for highway funding. Would you rather those funds go to fixing roads in Meriden, or go somewhere else?

I'd rather our INEPT town manager, mayor, and council stop wasting our money and straighten out our own problems. It's funny how CT is so concerned with Govnt funding as if it were free. This is not a state, or Interstate. It's a Meriden problem, so the leaders of Meriden should solve it. Stop placing blame on lack of funding when it will never arrive. Start being PROACTIVE and get your heads out of your rears. Enough of our tax dollars are being thrown down the drain... (Beth Vumbaco Lifetime pension anyone??, Ex Officers who nailed hookers on police time, in uniform, caught on camera still getting pensions??) Start being real leaders or step aside and let citizens with no care for Nepotism straighten this city out. You surely are doing a great job ruining it more.

Ohhh I use highways too, not like most drivers are limited to drive in the town where they pay taxes. Please Larry do not flip this and act like we are getting free money our of nowhere. I rather have my money allocated to area that can manage it properly and apparently Meriden is not the place.
