Description
For over four years a contractor on bridges drive has been parking his equipment on the public right of way across the street from his business, and never has been cited for violation of the town's ban on overnight parking. This has been going on for so long all vegetation has been replaced with hard packed dirt, and the edge of the road bed has been broken off. What makes this on going/forever violation my being enforced? Could my brother in law park three 53 trailers in the same location and expect not to be ticketed? I think not. Why the special treatment?

Nothing has been done to remove the offending truck, trailer, and assorted pieces of construction equipment (back hoe, and JLG lift on trailer) since first I raised this issue. That being the case, of course you cannot close this issue.
To date, over four years, with that equipment being stored illegally alongside the road for say 210 days a year, the town has lost $67,200 in parking ticket receipts due to their not ticketing the illegally parked equipment.
It's not "selective enforcement of the law" it's "preferential treatment" for select scoff laws. Change the ordinance so EVERYONE can park illegally on Bridges Drive, or better? enforce the existing ordinance.
