  If you need parking enforcement you will have to call 238-3099. For the issues on private property please file a complaint with code enforcement 238-3381.

  Then what are you guys for? Don't these complaints get referred by you to the correct department? Do these two complaints then get dumped? First time I've had a response like this. Seems inappropriate.

  I do not work for the city. I try to pass on what PWD does and does not refer from personal experience. PWD referral rate is dismal at best. I have found if I want something done I have to find the dept to get done. With that it sometimes takes several phone calls to get action. There is no viable leadership anywhere in the City of Oakland.

  David Coleman is correct. The Oakland city government is by far the most corrupt and dysfunctional city government I've ever seen. Personally I think the federal government should step in and charge them with corruption for the decades of abuse and neglect they've dispensed on Oakland.

  I totally agree that the City of Oakland is totally useless when it comes to fixing problems that are reported. I have reported cars that have been abandond on my Street for over a year and they are still not being towed.

  They are not just useless when it comes to fixing problems, they're useless when it comes to literally everything. There isn't a single thing the Oakland city government is good at doing, except robbing us of our tax dollars.
