Town Administrator's Office assigned this issue to Police Department

Stop signs are advisory only placed by the Grafton & Upton Railroad. They were not installed by the town nor do they meet the standards set forth in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. They simply advise motorists to stop as a cautionary measure because this is not an active crossing with red lights and crossing gates.
