Sheila, the Village is working to provide the best water available. The water produced is clean and clear according to County standards. Unfortunately, there was air introduced into the system over the past few weeks due to a pump issue. The air in the system interacts with aging pipes on the Village's end as well as property owner's end which creates the smells that have been reported over the past few weeks. Fortunately, the pump has been replaced and Village Water employees are working to flush the lines of the residual air. This can't be done all at once, particularly with the high temperatures driving water demand, but will completed over the next two week. We appreciate your patience, apologize for the temporary water discomfort, and are working to allow you to have Pride in Perry in all aspects.
