The entrance to Deer Crossing does have tall grass and weeds growing out of the pavement cracks. It is the Department of Public Services policy not to spray or mow streets that have grasses or weeds growing out of the pavement.

I caanot believe the city would allow this. If this was on my property I would be required to clean it up.

This is sad that the city is not willing to help.

The city will not apply vegetation killer to roadways. The grass and weeds are likely present because this is a lightly traveled roadway compared to other surfaces throughout the city street infrastructure. I understand that you feel this is unsightly. The homeowners along this area are welcome to control the vegetation at their own expense.

There are no houses along this part of the street only the farm field. This street is heavily traveled since it is the main entrance to the sub division. The weeds are within a foot of the curb so no one would be expected to drive this close to the curb. Thanks for the response. If I cut the weeds will I get in trouble?
