It is also creating Traffic Problems at the Intersections of Shore Road and Fern Street and Shore Road and Dodds Court...as drivers are being distracted by all the comings and goings of the extra vehicles and pedestrians.

Good luck getting CE to enforce this. Should just close the issue.

The property owner has a Zoning warning letter from our office now. I spoke to a resident today. They explained they were unaware of the ordinance limitations. They were reportedly attempting to sell items from two properties they own.

They were made aware of the traffic/parking concerns because of the narrow road and curve near their property.

They were directed to planning and zoning for permitting if they intended to continue multiple yard sale events.

The zoning ordinance defines garage sale as follows:

Any sale entitled “garage sale,” “lawn sale,” “moving sale,” “rummage
sale” or any similar casual sale of tangible personal property which is advertised by
any means whereby the public at large can be aware of such sale. More than six days
of sales within a 12-month period is considered commercial retail sales for the purposes of this ordinance.
