When west bound on 102nd ave. the turn lane at 113th st. quickly backs up into the left through lane on 102nd ave. This could easily be allieviated by extending the left turn lane east past the turn lane into twin oaks condos. This should be an easy and inexpensive fix to keep the through traffic moving.

It use to be be easier to make a right turn on red when heading west on 102nd Ave., but that was taken away with the reconfiguration of the road. There is enormous traffic on this road and back ups are the norm. This section between Seminole Blvd and 113th St needs to be reworked.

How about a flashing left turn signal. It's only 2 lanes coming from the other direction and as long as people use common sense and good judgement, it would make sense to have the left turn lane signal flashing yellow and yield to oncoming traffic.
This works well at other intersections in pinellas county. Some are even three lanes of traffic with no issues.....

on 5/25/2018 and still nothing is being done. While on the subject of this intersection, we need a right turn lane only sign as two blocks west it goes to a single lane.
How about actions and not just an acknowledgement.

The above is what I wrote on 06/30/2020 and we are approaching 3 years from my original comments on 05/26/18.
What does it take to correct this simple problem as I am not the only person commenting.
