I would love the city to come out a get an e.coli count after one of these floods. I would assume it’s dangerous waste water.

I have lived on 10th Ave NE for 19 years and this flooding has always been an issue. I've had my car completely soaked with runoff water and had to get mildew remediation twice. The city will have to start paying for the damage to our cars. Perhaps a lawsuit will be the only way to get appropriate action from the mayor's office?

Doing just a quick bit of math I estimate the 10 houses and apartment complexes on this block contributes $60,000 - $70,000/annually in property taxes...and this problem has been going on for years. Clearly, its no where close enough in revenue for the city to do anything for these residents. No worries, folks. It'll all be taken care of during the super duper infrastructure undertaking which will take place right after your houses float away and no longer become the city's concern.

My car flooded. The sewer smell is overwhelming. This is an SUV, it does not sit low to the ground. I will now need to remove the carpet and clean/replace.

Thank you for for the information regarding flooding. We are aware of this issue in your neighborhood as well as other locations throughout the City. We are working on a Stormwater Master Plan update which includes assessing the area you have reported. While this is a multiyear plan update, the City will be attempting to address more localized flooding. Please continue to report flooding as it occurs so that we better understand the issues.

Yes we heard this same promise last year -- 6/2/17: csr2 assigned this issue to Stormwater3, 6/17/17: A work order has been assigned to a Stormwater crew. People are hurt and cars are damaged and this happens during a simple afternoon thunderstorm, we are not talking about severe weather events only. The drain down the road has been checked many times and does not seem to be the problem. Most of the water drains rapidly when the rain stops but many puddles are left for days and become slippery with algae hence the slip and falls. We are well above sea level. This is a problem that can be fixed.I appreciate that there is a master plan out there but this problem is unique to a couple of blocks, the surrounding avenues and streets do not have the same issue. Please identify what the problem is on our block specifically so that we can work on a solution and avoid further injuries and damage.

A Stormwater Crew checked and cleaned the drainage system between Beach Dr NE and North Shore Dr NE on 10 Ave NE. All line are clear of debris. Thank you.

This is NOT the problem. The problem lies in that fact that our street nor the subsequent streets have drains. This is why we have a recurrent problem and cars cont to flood every SINGLE RAIN. This is not taking care of the problem. I would like to meet with the Storm Managing Crew and discuss further. Until we address what the problem actually is, we can not hope for resolution of this problem.

The street has continued to flood even after the drains were checked. The street either needs to be graded or have more drains installed or both.
This is not a mild problem. My car flooded and it is a SUV. Please take another look.

The street definitely needs to be graded -- the hump down the middle of the street is a danger to a car's undercarriage. Anyone driving down those couple blocks needs to be really careful.

Attention Stormwater3 and the Mayor's office:

10th Avenue NE between Bay and Oak Streets was flooded once again this morning during a very moderate rain. My car was almost flooded and I had to walk into the street, in the rain, with water halfway to my knees to get to my vehicle and move it to higher ground.

Well homeowners, it looks like we need to take further action elsewhere. If this seeclickfix report is closed now we won't be receiving any additional "action" from the city.

The storm drain is not the issue. Please evaluate other causes for flooding. Streets adjacent to us do not nearly have as much water flowing through them. We all know that our neighborhood is meant to let the runoff from the streets to our west flow to the bay. Our block just gets so much water that it creates a dangerous situation.
