Neighbor-
I understand your concern. First let me say that if you have a comment or question, you can just add it without clicking the "Re-open button". When an issue gets re-opened it indicates to city staff that the problem that was reported and closed was not actually fixed. That does not appear to be what you were trying to report.
It looks like you were making a comment and how neighbors treat each other. To the extent that things get reported on SeeClickFix, it is how reports are made to the city and all comments are welcome.
There are times when neighbors just need to talk with one another and there are neighbors who feel intimidated or are not equipped to make that personal connection with a fellow neighbor. Code Enforcement is required by ordinance to respond to a citizen's complaint so our response would happen with or without SeeClickFix. I prefer the public nature of SeeClickFix because without it, you might not be aware of the neighborhood concern AND you would not have had the ability to add your comment publicly. Now more neighbors know you are trying to encourage neighborly behavior toward one another. That's a good thing. Thank you.
