Thanks for your quick action, filling the hole so that is doesn't remain a trip hazard. Hopefully, the longer term solution will involve repairing the end wall where stones are missing and regrading the depression eroded by water flow so that runoff is moved to the street and doesn't continue to damage the end wall.

Here's a photo of the sand repair after today's rain. Much of the sand has already sunk below the surface level. The cause needs to be addressed and the wall repaired.

Was not able to open picture. Crew went to area yesterday and didn't see any difference from where they installed rock and soil

Thanks for filling the hole again and leaving a cone. Unfortunately, that fix will only work until the next rainstorm. On Sunday, April 15, water was running off the sidewalk and driveway, along the water course that has evolved over time, and into the sink hole. Ignoring the hole in the end wall where that water exits into the creek will continue to cause damage to the end wall. And, more to the point, each heavy rain will reopen the sink hole until proper repairs are made. Please contact me via email if you want photos of the situation.

With last Tuesday's (July 16, 2019) heavy rain, the sink hole has opened up again to its original size. As I've commented previously, I doubt it can be permanently fixed until the missing stones in the wall where it exits are replaced. But it is definitely a trip hazard again and should be dealt with again. If you want a photo, please let me know and I'll post a new one. (In the past, there were issues opening the photos I posted.)

It has been five days since I reported the reopening of the sink hole, and nothing has been done. There is no formal sidewalk along Yost Blvd past the creek, and the grassy area where the hole is located is used for that purpose. This time of year it is used by people going to and from Forestbrooke Pool. Sooner or later someone will forget that the hole is there or not see it and be injured. Please fill in the hole. Better yet, please fill in the hole and repair the damage to the wall that keeps allowing the hole to reopen.
