Descrição

Why isn’t the crossing guard placed a block up the street (Fourth and Madison) where there isn’t a stop sign? It seems redundant and a waste of resources to have one placed where there is already pedestrial protection in the form of a stop sign 🤷🏻‍♂️

As a resident of 5th Street who routinely crosses Madison (both with and without my kids), I know from experience that cars are very poor at stopping for pedestrians at that intersection. I appreciate having a crossing guard there to make sure that my kids can cross safely despite driver's ignorance of right of way to pedestrians and frequent use of the 'rolling stop'.
